Me & you

I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. And I know you do the same things too, So we’re really not that different, me and you.

Finally free.

Most of you know and most of you don't know that about a month ago I was able to quit my part time job. I have been dreaming of that day ever since I was on Idol. Money was always an issue....never enough. Is it ever? Finally I can now concentrate on all of my artistic ventures. ...my music, writing, modeling and whatever else I have dreamed up in my little head. The music is what brings me to life and I finally feel fully alive knowing I'm getting even closer. A few days ago I found out that I am in the final running of Eurovision Song contest. Soon the contest will be open to the public and then you guys can vote....then if I'm lucky enough I will be on the televised part. It's a pretty good thing I believe in myself and I know great things are to come.

I've been shooting a lot lately but I haven't really posted anything. I guess in my heart I just wanted a break from things. I wanted to fully enjoy my first month off and take some time for myself and family. Now I have an energy like you wouldn't believe.

Here's a shoot I did in East Palestine, Ohio. It was a very interesting shoot...how can such a beautiful place inhabit such ugly things? Dawn Derbyshire did the photos, as always she did an incredible job.

All I did today was write....

Sometimes I just want to kick the shit out of some people and say words that they have never heard before. That's not who I am and that's not what I'm about. I'm just going to write, write, write and create, create, create and all that will be left is my pity for you.

I hate people that prey.

I love people with soul.

I like to dream, but I like to make things happen.

I've been pretty absent that past two 6 weeks, but that was on purpose. I've taken a long needed vacation to see my family and to catch things up at home. I went without seeing my family for about a year and a half, and it was really doing something to me emotionally. I now feel fully rejuvenated and ready to get back to work. Damn, I'm really missing my work. That's because things are going better than ever, actually the best they could be at this point. I'm just so happy with my life right now, everything seems just right. Since my time off I've been writing so much down....so I need to get back into that studio and create! Next month I'll be traveling to Switzerland, Denmark and Germany.

I've been reading a lot of quotes lately about "Dreaming" and being a "Dreamer"....This always confuses me. It confuses me because sooo many people have dreams and goals, but that's as far as they go. They just become thoughts and hopes. I rather do. I rather make things happen. You'll have to kill me before I ever stop. The good thing is, the people around m realize this and work their ass off for me in return. Please don't confuse this....I thinking dreaming and being a dreamer is GREAT, just as long as you do the work that comes along with it ;-)

I'm going to start posting as much as possible now because writing is just therapeutic to me and it gets me in touch with soooo much of you. So many of you want to know whats going on and what I've been up to. Sorry about the unanswered messages in my mailbox. I still try to answer as many as possible but it just gets to be a bit overwhelming. So I'll post a bunch about my puppies, family, new shoes and of course bundles about the music.

I love you all so very much.

Where my gay's at?

Over the weekend I got to swim in Zurich lake. When I say swim, I mean for a mere 30 seconds. Haha! The water was colder than ice...mountain water. It was such a beautiful day full of sunshine...we had a cook out BBQ and I somehow managed to mess up the kabob veggies :-p, I am so not a cook. I will always take up an opportunity to hang out with Andy, Chris and their friends. Hopefully I'll get to do it again before I leave for home....! I almost forgot the best part of the weekend...this cute little Dog Leo would not stop kissing my face! He kissed it nearly for 10 mins!! When he started to move to my boobs I made him stop....he was getting a little to frisky. He would be perfect for Hollywood. Miss Hollywood and Mister Leonardo Dicaprio. :-D

The tour is still going very well, its a very tight schedule and long hours, but I have so much fun with these kids! It makes me miss my brothers and sister even more though. I haven't seen my family in almost a year because of all the traveling, but next month I'll be taking a looong holiday to go see them. I cannot wait. :-D

This morning a really funny thing happen....I'm always making mistakes with words and for some reason I always choose the worst option. This boy asked me  "Do you like the gays?" I was like "Of  course! They always have the best time and they are great to go shopping with. But sexual orientation doesn't matter at all to me, it's whats inside that counts. " Everyone again was so confused and then they started to laugh really hard....That's when the teacher explained that he meant "gaming." The real question was "Do you like the games?" Hahaha, but I think its completely understandable how I got that confused! I could seriously not stop laughing, and the boy was such a great sport about it. :-)

I'm a little car sick right now because we're high in the mountains, so I'm going to relax a bit and sip this diet coke before  my next gig. Ahhhhh, so refreshing.

I'm sure you all know by now my love of sweets. I seriously have the biggest sweet tooth in the entire world. This huge candy store in Europe called "Lollipop" is amazing. They have soooo many different kinds of candy then we do back home! I love it! When I called my husband to tell him about this amazing candy store he simply said "I bet you got three pounds didn't you, Just like  you do when your home." And he was right...I got 1 kilo = 3 pds! Haha he knows me too well :-) Again...I just dont understand why my boobs photograph so big! Seriously they are NOT that big!! How I dare to dream! Thanks to Oliver who took the pics....hahaha!

Six feet under.

I'm sitting outside of my hotel room watching a beautiful storm overtake Zurich. I really love storms, they bring me peace and the wind feels amazing in this hot summer weather. Every time I'm alone traveling I get to know myself a lot more. You don't realize how much you've grown up until you start reacting to things differently. The petty bullshit we use to deal with just isn't important anymore. The past is left to the past. Of course there are always exceptions where people hold on to whatever grudge they can, because to them that's all they have. Let's make this world a but better and let go of the past. Life is too damn short...we should always look for the positive first. So this is my post to say....MY past is buried. Every lie that was ever told to me, every broken promise, every hurtful word....ALL OF THE BULLSHIT is being buried. This is one funeral I won't mourn.

I want to personally congratulate John Gordon and Manfred/Mette Zähringer from Iceberg Records for winning the Eurovision Song Contest with "Satellite" performed by Lena Meyer-Landrut!! I am so proud and honored to work with you guys.

Eurovision is one of the biggest music contests in Europe. It compares to like an American Idol! Over the years he Eurovision contest has found amazing stars such as Celion Dion and ABBA.  How Eurovision works is each member Country submits a song to be performed live on TV and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. The show has been running since 1956!!! Making it one of the most longest running shows in he world. To read more about the contest go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurovision_Song_Contest

John Gordon and Jodie Frost wrote and produced the song so this is a really big win for them!! I am so honored and feel so lucky to be working with John, everything we ever write/record together always turns out amazing. One of first songs I've ever written with him was "Absolutely Nothing." Can't wait to work with him again in September! Go to YouTube and listen to "Satellite" performed by Lena Meyer-Landrut. It's a really great song and Lena is so cute! I wish her as well nothing but the best in her career.

Anyways....the entire tour has been going super well. The days are very long and it's a lot of hard work....it's nothing I didn't ask for ;-)! I've gotten some really funny questions too, such as "Do you like sport in bed?" and "Are you somewhat of crazy??" Hahaha! Yes, yes I am somewhat of crazy. Thank you for noticing!
